Project Goals and Objectives

The objective of Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention is to increase awareness and prevention of the widespread occurrence of domestic abuse in communities across the nation.  This project speaks with one voice against abuse of intimate partner abuse but also child abuse; teen dating violence; bullying; human trafficking; and elder abuse.

A recent project enabled the WJWL to create a library and resource center for one of our communities shelters.  This resource center is used to promote education, provides resources for jobs, research, and leisurely reading as well.  It also provides the children that are residing in the center a pace to read and work on school projects while going through a traumatic life experience.

Without the assistance of the community, club members, and local organizations, projects like this would not be possible.
