10 reasons to be a Juniorette

Juniorettes are young women, ages 12 to 18 working together to meet the needs of their communities through volunteer service projects. For over 30 years, GFWC/OFWC Juniorettes have sharpened their leadership skills and put their idealism to work in projects that benefit children, families, and communities.
- Make new friends locally and across the country.
- Work with others to make a positive contribution to your community.

Who We Are

Interested young ladies between the ages of 12 to 18 years of age are eligible to join the Warren Juniorette Club, now in its tenth year of being formed by the Warren Junior Women's League/GFWC.
You will have the opportunity to volunteer your time to help others in the community by participating in community events. You will be required to attend one meeting a month and to participate in the activities that are planned.
Meeting Schedule & Ongoing Projects

The Juniorettes will meet the last Sunday of each month and will alternate between the Mocha House and Panera Bread. Along with their monthly meeting, they will hold at least 1 to 2 projects each month including:
"One More Hug" Project - donate new and slightly used stuffed animals to local emergency care facilities to be donated to children who have to be transported in an emergency or crisis.
Adopt-a-Highway - beautification project along Route 11.
Stuff the Bus - with school supplies for a needy classroom along with scrapper binders.
Camelot Center - to help with therapeutic horseback riding classes for children and adults with disabilities.
"Grandpals" Guardian Angels Program - to help and assist older adults in many ways.
Someplace Safe Shelter and Cell Phone Alliance Program - to assist women and children in domestic violence situations and crisis.
Ronald McDonald House - pop can tab recycling program and beautification project of surroundings.
Warren Family Mission - to help with canned food drive for World Food Day.
Cortland Lions Club to donate and collect old glasses to be distributed internationally.
Habitat for Humanity - to assist low income housing families and work "hands on" to build or rehab a home.
Salvation Army - to assist with Holiday Gift Wrap Booth at the local mall.
Northeast Ohio Adoption Services - to purchase gifts for many needy foster care and adopted children with disabilities.
Children's Rehabilitation Center - to assist with the Annual Jellybean Fundraiser.
Be Cool After School - to assist local children with an after school program.
Creekside Gardens - to donate and help with Annual Easter Egg Hunt for many local children.
March of Dimes Walk America - to collect, walk, and raise money to help with preventing birth defects and research.
PetSmart - to help with local animal adoptions.

Tribune Chronicle ~ Saturday February 23, 2002Members of the GFWC/OFWC Warren Juniorettes, in conjunction with the Trumbull County Humane Society and the Niles PetSmart, recently joined efforts to encourage thoughtful pet adoptions. The store provides space for local humane organizations to assist in adoptions from 1 to 4 pm, Saturdays.
Those who participated were Julie Vugrinovich, and Shalimara Kufchak, club advisers, Juniorettes, Jennifer Lazor, Stephanie Mrofchak, Vallie Khory, Anne Heltzel, Jessica Ashdown, Kelly Baytos, and Angela Rolfe.
